1-on-1 Cone in the Post

Today’s drill is a little different. Usually post drills give the offensive the advantage and make the defense work the get in position. This drill forces the offense to come across the lane and MEET the defense who is waiting.

The offense must fight to create position to get a catch on the block area; if they can seal for a lob pass…even better!

Defensive should hit first and try to stay 3/4 front on the post relative to the location of the ball. If the defense starts to get pushed up/off the lane (sealed), make sure they fight back behind/around.

Live drill on the catch!
