Cone Handle Shots Drill

I love this drill because it works on several components of improvement all at once:

Ball Handling: Force your players out of their comfort zone and to dribble lower and quicker each time, that is the only way to improve

Footwork: Creating space and finishing with the least amount of dribbles

Finishing Through/Over/Around the Defense: This drill consists of a multiple of different types of shots and finishes that are great to add to your players’ repertoire.

3 Moves vs 3 Cones Drill

This is a great series of moves for your players to work on to attack the rim from halfcourt while making multiple moves around defenders. It is important that the players try to go as fast and stay as low as possible to keep the ball low. Adding a coach with a pad at the rim forces them to finish strong through contact.

Each move (Frame) should be completed with a right hand and left hand finishes before moving to the next set.
