Syracuse Orange Pick & Roll Post-Up #March Madness

Syracuse ran this double pick & roll to get forward C.J. Fair posted up in an iso situation. By setting a stagger for 2, the Orange essentially cleared out any help defense for the isolation.

Syracuse Orange 15 Down

Syracuse than this pock & roll pin-down action in the 2013 Men’s Final Four. If 4 isn’t able to catch & shoot or create on the dribble, the play will continue as 3 uses the screen from 5. 4 has the option to hit 3 coming off the screen or look to feed 5 sealing in the post.

Syracuse University “2” Pindown Pick & Roll

This is a play that Jim Boeheim frequented during the 2013 Final Four. They ran this play with several different variations based on how the defense was guarding and I will share those options in the coming days.

Syracuse Orange “Double Fist”

This is a play that Jim Boeheim frequented during the 2013 Final Four. I love this set because of the continuous screening actions after the initial stagger pick & roll. The first two options of the play are for 1 to come off and attack the rim and if he can’t throwback to 4 for a catch & shoot. If neither of those options are open 2 comes off the second set of staggers for a multiple of options.
