This play from Ohio State’s Thad Matta is an excellent early offense action that ends with a simple pin-down catch & shoot. As the play develops there is a lot of action that shifts the defense to the right side of the floor. By settings the quick pin-down for 3 could catch your opponent off guard as they may think the ball is going back to 1.

Sideline Out of Bounds : Box

This is an excellent sideline out of bounds misdirection that I put in towards the end of the season last year with my Junior Varsity team. If 2 does a great job selling like he wants to pass to 1, and 4 sets a great screen, there is a good chance 3 will be open for a quick score!

This pick & roll misdirection is perfect if you have a shooter you want to come off for a quick shot. Duke executed this play to perfection a few years ago during conference play.
